FOIA Library Certification

Pursuant to the Memorandum for Agency Chief FOIA Officers issued by Melanie Ann Pustay, Director of the Office of Information and Privacy implementing the Attorney General's Third Report to the President pursuant to Executive Order 13392, agencies are required to certify that their FOIA libraries comply with the legal requirements of the FOIA. In compliance with these requirements, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is submitting a revised FOIA Library Certification. The revised Certification reflects the consolidation of EEOC FOIA Libraries at Headquarters and in our 15 district offices for greater efficiency. This revision is incorporated in the EEOC's revised FOIA regulations at 29 C.F.R. 1610.4

2. a. Internal Review of Agency FOIA Libraries

Pursuant to the Attorney General's report and Director Pustay's instructions, I caused FOIA Libraries located in the following offices of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to be reviewed for the purposes of determining their compliance with the FOIA's legal requirements.

  • Atlanta District
  • Birmingham District
  • Charlotte District
  • Chicago District
  • Dallas District
  • Houston District
  • Indianapolis District
  • Los Angeles District
  • Memphis District
  • Miami District
  • New York District
  • Philadelphia District
  • Phoenix District
  • San Francisco District
  • St. Louis District

2. b. No deficiencies

2. c. Certification

I certify that to the best of my knowledge, based on the information reasonably available to me at the time of this certification that the EEOC FOIA libraries described above comply with the legal requirements of the FOIA.
