Vice Chairman Igasaki on National Origin Discrimination (Transcript)

Since the beginning of our administration in 1994, leadership of the EEOC has considered national origin to be among it s highest priorities. We have recognized that it is a serious form of discrimination, that has been on the rise, but we have been frustrated by EEOC s the lack of activity in EEOC s work historically. Chairwoman Castro s commitment in this area is significant. I think it will guarantee that we will continue to make progress in this area, and continue to move forward, well beyond the years that this administration is running the EEOC. Because the work we do now, will have impact years to come.
