Commissioner Jones on EEOC Outreach (Transcript)

In pursuing it's outreach agenda, the Commission's efforts are directed toward informing all interested persons about Commission activities, about actions that employers need to take to comply with the laws and about the rights accorded to those, protected under the laws that are enforced by this agency. Accordingly, the Commission outreach discussions have taken place with community leaders and organizations, constituency and advocacy groups, employer associations, bar associations, and other stakeholders, who are directly affected by the Commission s work. At the same time, the Commission also has sought to obtain information from our customers and stakeholders, about how well we are doing, what we could do better and what issues we need to address. All this is to say that we see outreach here at the EEOC as a two way street; one that is mutually beneficial to all participants.
