Meeting of September 8, 2003, Washington D.C. on Repositioning for New Realities: Securing EEOC's Continued Effectiveness
Statement of Purpose: The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission will hold a public meeting on September 8, 2003, to
examine trends and issues driving the need for change at the agency.
The purpose of the hearing is to gather input from a wide range of
stakeholders, government reform experts, and EEOC employees from
field and headquarters offices on ways the Commission can respond
organizationally to:
* demographic shifts in the workplace;
* a new business environment and dramatically altered
workplace trends;
* the impact of technology;
* changing customer needs;
* the agency's fiscal responsibilities; and
* an agency infrastructure basically unmodified since
the late 1970's.
