FROM THE DIRECTOR

This issue of the Digest of EEO Law features the full text of the newly issued section of the EEOC's Compliance Manual on "Retaliation." The section provides guidance for analyzing claims of retaliation under the statutes enforced by the EEOC. Although the section, as part of the Compliance Manual, provides guidance and instruction to EEOC staff, it is valuable to federal agencies and practitioners as well. As footnote 5 of the section states, federal employees are also protected against retaliation under each of the discrimination statutes.
