The Las Vegas Local Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has internship opportunities available for upper-level undergraduate (juniors and seniors) and graduate students.

The EEOC is the federal agency charged with enforcing federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, and the Equal Pay Act of 1963.

Interns may be hired to either:

• Conduct interviews with the public who come to the office to file complaints of employment discrimination; or
• Analyze case files for compliance with federal employment discrimination laws. Interns will also conduct interviews of witnesses and of individuals who have filed employment discrimination complaints.

Applicants should have strong communication, writing and analytical skills. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Interns should expect to work 20 hours per week. EEOC internships are unpaid; however, interns may receive academic credit for their work. The EEOC is an equal opportunity employer.
