The Memphis District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has internship opportunities available for upper-level undergraduate (juniors and seniors) and graduate students. The EEOC is the federal agency charged with enforcing federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 and the Equal Pay Act. Positions are also available in Nashville, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas.

Interns will be involved in all phases of the investigative process from the intake of a charge to the final resolution of the charge. Interns will analyze information, conduct interviews and work with investigators to bring the case to a resolution.

All interested parties should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Applicants should be able to research information and analyze information and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Interns will work 20 hours per week.

EEOC internships are not paid positions; however the intern may receive academic credit. The EEOC is an equal opportunity employer.
