EEOC's Final Plan for Retrospective Review of Significant Regulations

Per Executive Order 13563, 76 Fed. Reg. 3821 (Jan. 21, 2011), the EEOC developed a Final Plan for Retrospective Review of Significant Regulations, consistent with legal requirements and EEOC's resources and regulatory priorities. In February 2015, the EEOC developed an updated timeline for retrospective review, projecting the agency's retrospective regulatory review activities through 2023.

Public Input on EEOC's Final Plan for Retrospective Review

On March 8, 2011, the EEOC first sought public comments on the design of a Preliminary Plan for Retrospective Review of Significant Regulations (Preliminary Plan). EEOC received 50 comments between March and May 2011.

On June 6, 2011, the EEOC posted its Preliminary Plan and solicited public comments. EEOC received 28 comments between May and August 2011.

EEOC received 15 comments between August 2011 and February 2015.

The EEOC updated its responses to retrospective regulatory review comments in January 2014, July 2014 and February 2015.

The EEOC continues to accept public comments on the retrospective review of EEOC's regulations. Please submit public comments to public.comments.regulatoryreview@eeoc.gov.
