Local Offices

The EEOC has 53 field offices around the country that can help you solve job discrimination and harassment problems. If you want to file a complaint or have a question, you should contact the EEOC office that is closest to you. To find the closest EEOC office go to the Field Office List and Jurisdiction Map.

The EEOC also works closely with state and local government agencies that protect you against job discrimination. We call these agencies Fair Employment Practice Agencies (FEPAs) and Tribal Employment Rights Offices (TEROs).

  • FEPAs process job discrimination claims under state and local laws that prohibit discrimination. FEPAs also work with the EEOC to process job discrimination claims under federal law.
  • TEROs manage the protection of the employment rights of Native Americans.

You can find information about FEPAs and TEROs in your area through the Field Office List and Jurisdiction Map.
