Here is an example of unfair pay that may be based on gender:

Sunita and Roberto work at a clothing store. Their manager tells them that their pay is based on their sales; the more they sell, the more they make. Sunita learns that Roberto makes almost twice as much as she does, even though they sell approximately the same number of clothes and bring in approximately the same amount of money for the company. The company discriminated against Sunita if it paid her less because she is a woman.
