Please be advised that, you have the option to schedule a telephone interview, an interview by video with an EEOC representative, or an in-person interview at our office.  Individuals who come into the office without an appointment will be screened for appropriate follow-up. Scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with appointments will be given priority.  

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment by telephone, by video or in-person.   The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/

There are strict deadlines for filing a charge of discrimination, please review the information in the timeliness tab or call 1-800-669-4000. 

For individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, you can reach EEOC by videophone at 1-844-234-5122. If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the Public Portal or you otherwise have difficulty with accessing the portal, please call 1-800-669-4000.

The Cleveland Field Office is open from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Intake interviews are conducted Monday through Friday. Scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with an appointment will be given priority. We encourage you to schedule an interview through our online system.

If you are inquiring about or interested in filing a Charge of discrimination, you are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an Intake appointment. The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/. Generally, Charges must be filed within 300 days of the incident. If you are within 30 days of your time expiring or you are unsure when your time expires, please email clevelandfieldoffice@eeoc.gov indicating that your time limit to file is expiring.  

For attorneys wishing to file Charges on behalf of their clients, you may submit them via EEOC E-File for Attorneys or send Charges by email to clevatty@eeoc.gov. Notices of Appearance, Position Statements, Requests for Extensions of Time, Requests for a Notice of Right to Sue, Agreements to Mediate, etc. should be uploaded into the EEOC Public Portal. We prefer and request that your documents be submitted electronically (Portal or email), but you may submit documents by mail, fax, or in-person if you are unable to access the computer/e-mail.
