Please be advised that, you have the option to schedule a telephone interview, an interview by video with an EEOC representative, or an in-person interview at our office.  Individuals who come into the office without an appointment will be screened for appropriate follow-up. Scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with appointments will be given priority.  

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment by telephone, by video or in-person.   The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/

There are strict deadlines for filing a charge of discrimination, please review the information in the timeliness tab or call 1-800-669-4000. 

For individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, you can reach EEOC by videophone at 1-844-234-5122. If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the Public Portal or you otherwise have difficulty with accessing the portal, please call 1-800-669-4000.

Office Hours

The Los Angeles District Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Office visitors must present a valid state or federal identification (i.e. state driver's license, state I.D. or U.S. passport) to gain entrance into the building and will be required to clear airport-style security and comply with rules and regulations governing conduct on federal property. If you do not have a photo ID, please contact our office for additional information.

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment. You have the option to schedule an interview that will be conducted by phone, an interview using Microsoft Teams Video from your own location, an in-office interview using Microsoft Teams Video at the EEOC location using EEOC office equipment, or an in-person interview at the EEOC location with an EEOC staff member. Please be advised that based on staffing availability, a scheduled in-person interview may be conducted by video using EEOC office equipment.

Scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with appointments and persons whose statutes of limitation are about to expire will be given priority.  Individuals who come into the office without an appointment will be screened for appropriate follow-up.

On-street metered parking is available on Temple Street, San Pedro Street, and surrounding areas. In addition, there are also parking lots on Temple Street and one parking structure along Commercial Street, south of Alameda Street, approximately two to three blocks from the Roybal Federal Building. Public transportation is available via Metro; nearest Stations include Union Station and Little Tokyo/Arts District Station, https://www.metro.net/

Food and drinks are available in the building at Lunch Stop Cafeteria, Floor 1, Open from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays; or from vending machines, Floor 1.
