Janese Murray currently serves as the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for Exelon Corporation where she is responsible for leading a team in the development and execution of effective strategies to increase workforce diversity and create an inclusive environment. Janese previously served as the Executive Director of Talent Development and Inclusion for Constellation Energy, where she started in April, 2007. In that role, she led a team that was responsible for enterprise wide talent management, leadership development and diversity and inclusion programs.
Janese grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. After starting her career in retail management, she moved into human resources. Over the past 30 years, Janese has moved to roles of increasing responsibility in several companies including CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield and Black and Decker. In addition to Janese's current responsibilities, she has experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations, and executive onboarding and support. In addition to her HR experience, Janese is also a personal and professional coach.
Janese is also involved in the community and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Notre Dame of Maryland University. She is also very active with Morgan State University where she was recognized as Alumni of the Year for the MBA Program. She teaches one session per semester in a Business Ethics class.
Janese is married to Reverend Brian Murray and is the proud mother of two daughters, Rachel and Alexis.
