Federal Sector Graduate Research Fellowship and Federal Sector Social Science Research Internship

Build professional experience while working for an important mission! The mission of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is to ensure justice and equality in the workplace, and its work includes research toward preventing discrimination within the federal workforce. EEOC is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.

EEOC's Office of Federal Operations ensures equality of opportunity within the Federal Government through its oversight function and by vigorously enforcing, through our regulatory and adjudicatory authority, federal legislation prohibiting discrimination in employment by government agencies.

The Federal Sector Social Science Research Graduate Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for high performing individuals to join a team conducting innovative statistical research and trend analysis.

The Federal Sector Graduate Research Fellowship supports this commitment by providing graduate students the opportunity to contribute to the success of the Commission. During the non-reimbursable detail assignment, fellows will share their knowledge and gain a broader perspective of federal sector EEO by working with the leadership team within the Office of Federal Operations at agency headquarters in Washington, D.C., specifically within the Research, Evaluation, and Applied Data Division (READD).
