Rulemaking

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has forwarded to the Federal Register one or more Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs) and one or more Final Rules.

Notice(s) of Proposed Rulemaking

The EEOC has announced that NPRMs on wellness have been cleared by the Office of Management and Budget and sent to the Federal Register for publication. Once they are published the public will have 60 days to provide comments on the NPRMs.

Final Rule(s)

The EEOC announced on Jan. 11, 2021, that the final rule updating the Commission’s conciliation procedures had been cleared by the Office of Management and Budget and sent to the Federal Register for publication.  It was published in the Federal Register on Jan. 14, 2021, and will become effective 30 days from publication. Additionally the final rule concerning Official Time in the Federal Sector has been sent to the Federal Register for publication and will become effective 30 days from publication.
