Please be advised that, you have the option to schedule a telephone interview, an interview by video with an EEOC representative, or an in-person interview at our office.  Individuals who come into the office without an appointment will be screened for appropriate follow-up. Scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with appointments will be given priority.  

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment by telephone, by video or in-person.   The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/

There are strict deadlines for filing a charge of discrimination, please review the information in the timeliness tab or call 1-800-669-4000. 

For individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, you can reach EEOC by videophone at 1-844-234-5122. If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the Public Portal or you otherwise have difficulty with accessing the portal, please call 1-800-669-4000.

The office hours for the Milwaukee Area Office are 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Limited meter parking and several parking lots are available nearby at a cost.  

If you believe you have been subjected to employment discrimination, please access the online Public Portal here. You will be asked to answer a series of questions about your employment situation, and where applicable, be directed to schedule a telephone interview with an investigator. You may schedule an appointment with a member of our staff via phone, in-office video, or in-person.  Walk-ins are accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will be screened by our intake staff on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that appointments are prioritized.

Individuals who are unresponsive within 15 minutes of their scheduled appointment times will be rescheduled.

If you have already filed a Charge of Discrimination, please check the status of your charge by clicking here. This site will also give you the contact information for the assigned staff member.

If you have a disability, are unable to access the Public Portal or otherwise have difficulty with the Portal, please e-mail digitalsupport@eeoc.gov or call (414) 662-3680 for assistance. Please say and spell your first and last name, the number where you can be reached between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., provide an e-mail address if you have one and a brief description of the issue you are having.
