EEOC Sues Carolina Title Loans / Community Loans of America for Race Harassment and Disability Discrimination

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Georgia-based Community Loans of America, Inc. and its subsidiary, Carolina Title Loans, Inc., violated federal law by subjecting an employee to a racially hostile work environment, by failing to accommodate her disability, and by firing her because of that disability, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

EEOC Chair Applauds Passage of Ending Forced Arbitration Act

WASHINGTON – The Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) welcomed the President’s signing of the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act, H.R. 4445, into law today at a White House ceremony.

Pensec Settles EEOC Race Discrimination Claim

MILWAUKEE – Pensec, Inc., a Wisconsin corporation which operates nine McDonald’s fast food restaurants, will pay $31,137 and furnish other relief to resolve a race discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Files Three Racial Harassment Lawsuits Against Pennsylvania And West Virginia Employers

PHILADELPHIA – Four companies, one in West Virginia and three in Pennsylvania, violated federal law by subjecting their Black employees to racially hostile work environments and other unlawful discrimination, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in three separate lawsuits filed today.

FRESNO – Helados La Tapatia, Inc., violated federal law when they failed to hire non-Hispanic applicants for entry-level positions because of their race/national origin, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.
