EEOC Files Subpoena Enforcement Action Against University of Pennsylvania Over Antisemitic Work Environment

PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today announced the filing of an action in federal court to enforce a subpoena issued during its investigation into claims that the University of Pennsylvania engaged in unlawful employment practices by allowing antisemitic harassment to persist and escalate throughout its Philadelphia campus and creating a hostile work environment for Jewish faculty and staff.

Two Las Vegas Strip Resort & Casinos Settle EEOC Religious Discrimination Charges

LAS VEGAS – Aria Resort and Casino, LLC, and the Luxor Resort and Casino, LLC, resolved charges of religious discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

The charges filed with the EEOC alleged that Aria and Luxor denied employees religious accommodations to the companies’ COVID-19 vaccine mandate policies. The EEOC investigated the allegations and found reasonable cause to believe both resorts violated Title VII of the Civil

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Settles Religious Discrimination and Retaliation Lawsuit

LAS VEGAS – Venetian Las Vegas Gaming, LLC and Venetian Las Vegas Marketing, Inc. (collectively doing business as “The Venetian Resort Las Vegas”), a hotel and casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip, will pay $850,000 and implement significant policy changes via a three-year consent decree to settle a religious discrimination and retaliation lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.

UFP Ranson, LLC to Pay $215,000 to Settle EEOC Race and Religious Harassment Suit

Martinsburg, W.V. – UFP Ranson, LLC, a subsidiary of UFP Industries, Inc. that manu­factures lumber and building materials in Ranson, West Virginia, will pay $215,000 to settle a race and religious harassment lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Inspira Medical Centers to Pay $100,000 to Conciliate EEOC Discrimination Finding

PHILADELPHIA -- Inspira Medical Centers, Inc., a New Jersey corporation, also known as Inspira Health Network, which owns and operates several hospitals and numerous health centers in New Jersey, has entered into conciliation agreements with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commis­sion (EEOC) to resolve six religious discrimination charges, the federal agency announced today.

According to the EEOC, all six charges were the result of Inspira denying employees a religious exemption to its mandatory influenza vaccination
