Polaris Industries to Pay $55,000 in EEOC Pregnancy Suit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delaware-based vehicle manufacturer Polaris Industries, Inc. will pay $55,000 and provide other injunctive relief to settle charges of pregnancy discrimination in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in connection with practices at Polaris’s Huntsville, Alabama facility, the federal agency announced today.

Gregg Orr Auto to Pay $325,000 to Resolve Disability and Age Discrimination Lawsuit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Gregg Orr Auto Collection, Inc., a group of car dealerships, has agreed to pay $325,000 and provide other relief to settle a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) lawsuit alleging that the Texarkana, Texas-based company fired a senior sales executive to avoid medical costs related to his cancer diagnosis, the federal agency announced today.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Gregg Orr Auto Collection, Inc., a company that provides administrative and operations services for a group of related automobile dealerships across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Florida, violated federal law when it fired a longtime senior manager in its Texarkana, Texas, location to avoid its share of the employee’s cancer-treatment costs, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

Keystone Foods LLC to Pay $60,000 to Settle EEOC Pregnancy Discrimination Lawsuit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Keystone Foods LLC, which operates a food processing facility in Eufaula, Alabama, agreed to pay $60,000 to settle a retaliation lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
