Swami’s Café and Honey’s Bistro Pay $650,000 in EEOC Sexual Harassment Suit

ENCINITAS, Calif. – Swami’s Café, a chain of casual breakfast and lunch service restaurants in San Diego County, and the casual restaurant Honey’s Bistro will pay $650,000 and provide other relief to settle a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on behalf of a class of young women, the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Sues Ground Zero Blues Club for Sexual Harassment and Retaliation

MOBILE, Ala. – Ground Zero Biloxi LLC, which operates a blues club located in Biloxi, Mississippi, violated federal law by subjecting an assistant manager to sexual harassment by one of its co-owners and firing the worker for complaining about the co-owner’s harassment, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

EEOC Encourages Victims of Sexual Harassment at Local Swami’s Restaurants to Come Forward

SAN DIEGO – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) encourages victims of or witnesses to sexual harassment at Swami’s restaurants to come forward and report their experiences to the federal agency in connection with an EEOC lawsuit against the chain.

On May 17, 2023, the EEOC filed a lawsuit in federal court against Swami’s for sexual harassment and retaliation. The respondents include Swami’s 101 LLC dba Swami’s Café; Swami’s Vista LLC; Swami’s Carlsbad LLC
