New York Beer Project to Pay $225,000 in EEOC Disability Lawsuit

BUFFALO, NY – New York Beer Project, LLC, will pay $225,000 to two former bartenders to settle a disability discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Sues Boxwood and Related Hotel Franchises for Discriminating Against Transgender Employee

BUFFALO, NY – Eight related entities operating Boxwood Hotels LLC, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn hotels in Western New York violated federal law when they fired a transgender housekeeper the day after the housekeeper complained that a supervisor repeatedly misgendered them and made anti-transgender statements, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

Savage River Lodge Pays $150,000 in EEOC Discrimination and Retaliation Suit

BALTIMORE – Savage River Lodge, LLC and Little Crossings, LLC, doing business as Fronterra Resources (collectively referred to as Savage River Lodge), will pay $150,000 and furnish significant equitable relief to settle federal charges that they discriminated against an employee because of her pregnancy and then fired her.

BALTIMORE – Shepherd Electric Co., Inc., a wholesale electrical distributor that operates in the Baltimore/Washington area, violated federal law when it fired two former managers because of their race retaliating for complaining about race-based discrimination, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.
