EEOC Sues Two Businesses Operating in the Chicago Area Under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

CHICAGO – The Chicago District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed two pregnancy discrimination lawsuits today, charging two different employers with violations of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). 
The EEOC charged that North American freight shipping company R&L Carriers’, Matteson, Illinois location discriminated against a truck driver when it forced her to take leave rather than let her continue to work during her pregnancy.

EEOC Sues QSR Pita USA Inc. for Pregnancy and Disability Discrimination

EEOC Files Agency’s First Subpoena Enforcement Action Under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

CHICAGO – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sued R&L Carriers Shared Services, LLC, a freight transportation and logistics company, to enforce a subpoena that the EEOC issued during their investigation of a sex and pregnancy discrimination charge, the federal agency announced today.

Verona Area School District Settles EEOC Equal Pay Lawsuit

MADISON, Wis. – Verona Area School District will pay $450,000, raise salaries, and furnish other relief to settle a pay discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
