Meathead Movers Settles EEOC Discrimination Cases

LOS ANGELES – Meathead Movers Inc., the largest independent moving company based in San Luis Obispo, California, agreed to pay up to $2 million for individuals who were not hired into various positions due to age or because of their sex, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), announced today.

The company agreed to hire qualified individuals into various positions including laborers, movers, customer service agents, and other positions, committing up to $1 million annually

EEOC Sues Gamer Logistics for Age Discrimination

EL PASO, Texas— Fat and Broke, Inc., doing business as Gamer Logistics, a logistics company located in El Paso with offices in Laredo, Texas, Indiana, and Mexico, violated federal law when it fired and refused to hire a class of older drivers and applicants for driver positions because of their age, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit announced today.

EEOC Sues Meathead Movers for Age Discrimination

LOS ANGELES – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed suit against the San Luis Obispo moving company Meathead Movers, Inc., the largest independent moving company in California, for refusing to hire people based on age, the federal agency announced today.

The EEOC’s lawsuit charges that since at least 2017, Meathead Movers failed to recruit and hire applicants over 40 into moving, packing and customer service positions. Meathead maintains a pattern or practice
