EEOC Files Subpoena Enforcement Action Against Financial Services Giant Northwestern Mutual Over Allegations of DEI-Related Discrimination

MILWAUKEE – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) filed an action in federal court today to compel Milwaukee-based financial services provider Northwestern Mutual to produce information about the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and practices, related to the firm’s decision to deny a promotion to one of its compliance officers.

EEOC Sues Walmart for Disability Discrimination

MILWAUKEE — Walmart Inc. violated federal law when it refused to accommodate an employee who required a job coach due to his intellectual disability and subjected him and a coworker to a hostile work environment based on their disabilities, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit announced today.

Kwik Trip Inc. to Pay $35,000 in EEOC Disability Discrimination Charge

MILWAUKEE – Kwik Trip Inc., a family-owned gasoline station and convenience store with over 800 locations in the upper Midwest, agreed to resolve a discrimination charge filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

As a result of successful conciliation efforts between the parties, Kwik Trip agreed to provide $35,000 to a former employee and committed to provide additional training on equal employment opportunity, including Americans with Disabilities Act

Charter Communications to Pay $60,000 in EEOC Disability Discrimination Lawsuit

MILWAUKEE – Charter Communications, LLC, a broadband connectivity company and cable operator also known as Spectrum, will pay $60,000 and provide other relief to settle a disability accommodation lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
