HSS Security to Pay $35,000 in EEOC Sex Discrimination Lawsuit

HOUSTON – HSS Security, LLC, a company that provides security services to hospitals in Texas, will pay $35,000 and provide other relief to settle a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Jury Awards $2.17 Million Against SkyWest Airlines for Sex Discrimination

DALLAS – A federal jury has awarded $2 million in punitive damages against SkyWest Airlines, a Utah-based airline, and $170,000 for emotional harm to Sarah Budd, a female parts clerk, to settle a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today. The verdict is the largest jury trial award ever obtained by the EEOC in the Northern District of Texas.

EEOC Sues Ecoserv, Charging a Pattern or Practice of Not Hiring Black, Female and Older Applicants

NEW ORLEANS – Ecoserv, LLC, an industrial cleaning company in Abbeville, Louisiana, violated federal law by engaging in a pattern or practice of refusing to hire applicants who were Black, female, or 40 years old or over, and by firing a human resources employee who opposed the discrim­inatory practices, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed on Sept. 22.

Safelite Autoglass to Pay $45,000 to Settle EEOC Sex Discrimination Lawsuit

EEOC Sues Skywest Airlines for Sex Discrimination

DALLAS – Utah-based SkyWest Airlines violated federal law by subjecting a female parts clerk to sexual harassment, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit it filed today.
