Kane’s Furniture to Pay Nearly $1.5 Million in EEOC Sex Discrimination Lawsuit

MIAMI – Kane’s Furniture, LLC, a Florida-based furniture retail company, will pay $1,482,748.00 in monetary relief and provide significant equitable relief to settle a federal class sex discrimination lawsuit, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today.

EEOC Sues Advance Auto Parts for Maintaining Hostile Work Environments for Gay and Black Workers

MIAMI – Advance Auto Parts, an automotive parts retail chain, violated federal law when it allowed its employees and customers to subject gay and Black employees to hostile work environments based on their race and sex, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

EEOC and Christopher’s Dodge Ram Agree to Conciliate Discrimination Charge

DENVER -- Chris the Crazy Trader, Inc., doing business as Christopher’s Dodge Ram in Golden, Colorado, has agreed to conciliate a discrimination charge involving failure to hire females with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

The EEOC determined that Christopher Dodge Ram did not hire females for sales positions and did not keep records. Such alleged conduct violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended
