Ohio Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility to Pay $150,000 in Age, Sex and Retaliation Discrimination Case

CLEVELAND – The Laurels of Athens, a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Athens, Ohio, owned and operated by Laurel Heath Care Company, Athens LTC, Inc., Ciena Healthcare Management, Inc., and Ciena Group, LLC, will pay $150,000 and provide other relief to settle an age and sex discrimination case filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Ohio Amusement Park to Pay $50,000 in EEOC Age Discrimination Suit

CLEVELAND – Cedar Fair, L.P., doing business as Cedar Point, and Magnum Management Corporation, which own, operate, and staff the Sandusky, Ohio-based Cedar Point amusement park, will pay $50,000 to settle an age discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Sues Ohio Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility for Age, Sex Discrimination

CLEVELAND – The Laurels of Athens, a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Athens, Ohio, violated federal civil rights laws by discriminating against a physical therapy assistant because of his age and sex and then retaliating against him for complaining about discrimination, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) alleged in a lawsuit it announced today.

EEOC Sues Surfside Realty for Age Discrimination

FLORENCE, S.C. – Surfside Realty Co., Inc., which manages vacation rental properties and homeowner associations throughout coastal South Carolina, violated federal law when it fired a long-term employee because of her age, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed Friday.
