Virginia International Terminals to Pay $20,000 in EEOC Disability Discrimination Suit

NORFOLK, Va. – Virginia International Terminals, LLC (VIT), a marine terminal operator headquartered in Norfolk, will pay $20,000 and furnish other relief to settle a disability discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Everport Terminal Services to Pay $200,000 to Settle EEOC Disability Discrimination Charge

OAKLAND, Calif. – Everport Terminal Services (ETS), which operates a terminal at the Port of Oakland, agreed to provide $200,000 to a former employee following an investigation by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Virginia International Terminals Sued by EEOC for Disability Discrimination

NORFOLK, Va. – Virginia International Terminals, LLC (VIT), a marine terminal operator headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, violated federal law by refusing to allow an employee to return to his position following medical treatment for a heart condition, the U.S. Equal Employment Oppor­tunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit announced today.

ABM Resolves EEOC Disability Charge

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – ABM Industry Groups has agreed to provide $52,000 and injunctive relief to a deaf worker following an investigation by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.
