Salvation Army Settles EEOC Disability Discrimination Lawsuit

DETROIT – The Salvation Army will pay $25,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to obtain relief for a former employee of the charitable organization’s Ann Arbor thrift store who was discriminated against due to his disability, the federal agency announced today.

William Beaumont Hospital Sued by EEOC for Disability Discrimination

DETROIT – William Beaumont Hospital, doing business as Beaumont Health System, operators of Beaumont Hospital, located in Wayne, Michigan, failed to accommodate an employee with a disability, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit it filed today.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Mead Johnson & Company, a manufacturer of baby formula, violated federal law at its Zeeland, Michigan facility by failing to provide a reasonable accom­modation to an employee with a disability, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commis­sion (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.
