EEOC Sues Ecoserv, Charging a Pattern or Practice of Not Hiring Black, Female and Older Applicants

NEW ORLEANS – Ecoserv, LLC, an industrial cleaning company in Abbeville, Louisiana, violated federal law by engaging in a pattern or practice of refusing to hire applicants who were Black, female, or 40 years old or over, and by firing a human resources employee who opposed the discrim­inatory practices, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed on Sept. 22.

EEOC Sues Employment & Training Centers, Inc. for Disability Discrimination

HOUSTON – Employment & Training Centers, Inc. violated federal law by refusing to provide a reasonable accommodation for an individual applying for a data entry position in its Houston office, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

Lion Elastomers Pays $175,000 to Settle EEOC Disability Discrimination Lawsuit

HOUSTON – Lion Elastomers, LLC, a manufacturing plant in Port Neches, Texas, agreed to pay $175,000 and provide other relief pursuant to a consent decree entered by a federal district court on July 7, resolving a disability discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commis­sion (EEOC), the federal agency announced today. The complaint alleged that the company denied employment to a class of individuals it unlawfully regarded as disabled.

Parris Pizza Company to Pay $150,000 to Settle EEOC Race Harassment Lawsuit

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Parris Pizza Company, LLC, the former owner of a Domino’s Pizza franchise in Olean, New York, has agreed to pay $150,000 and provide other relief to resolve a racial harassment lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
