Logic Staffing to Pay $217,500 in EEOC Religious Discrimination, Retaliation Lawsuit

SEATTLE – Logic Staffing, a Washington-based staffing and recruiting agency, agreed to pay $217,500 after failing to hire a Muslim job applicant after he asked about a religious accommodation to attend Friday prayer. The company also agreed to provide other relief, resolving a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Washington State Department of Transportation Settles Disability Discrimination Complaint Filed With EEOC

SEATTLE – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has agreed to pay $57,577 in compensatory damages and back pay and provide other injunctive relief following an investigation by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.

Transportation Company to Pay $40,000 to Settle EEOC Race Harassment Lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS – American River Transportation Company (ARTCO), headquartered in Decatur, Ill., will pay a former employee $40,000 to resolve a racial harassment lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today. EEOC Sues Conroe Hospital for Retaliation

HOUSTON – The Woodlands Psychiatry and Counseling Company, a hospital in Conroe, Texas, violated federal law when it fired an employee for making a discrimination charge to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
