EEOC Sues ALM Freight and LMDmax for Disability Discrimination

DETROIT – ALM Freight, LLC, an Amazon Delivery Service Partner company, and LMDmax Corp., violated federal law at ALM’s Pontiac, Michigan facility by failing to provide a reasonable accommodation for a deaf job applicant after she requested an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter for her first-day orientation, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit announced today.

EEOC Sues Cloudbeds for Discriminating Against Deaf Applicant

BOSTON – Digital Arbitrage, Inc., doing business as Cloudbeds—an international, remote-first technology company that employs individuals around the world—violated federal law by denying an applicant’s request for an accommodation in the interview process and by refusing to hire the applicant based on his disability, the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

Powerlink Pays $25,000 to Settle EEOC Disability Discrimination Lawsuit

DETROIT — Powerlink Facilities Management Services, a Michigan-based management and maintenance services company, will pay $25,000 and provide other relief to settle a federal disability discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.
