Washington Unified School District to Pay $17,000 in EEOC Age Discrimination Charge

FRESNO, Calif. – The Washington Unified School District, located in Fresno, Calif., settled a federal charge of age discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for $17,000 and other injunctive relief, the federal agency announced today.

Select Staffing to Pay $500,000 in EEOC Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

FRESNO, Calif. – Real Time Staffing Services, LLC, doing business as Select Staffing, will pay $500,000 and furnish injunctive relief to settle a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit, the federal agency announced today. The EEOC brought the lawsuit on behalf of a class of female agricultural workers, including many temporary workers directly employed by Select Staffing.

Tulare City School District to Pay $45,000 in EEOC National Origin Discrimination Charge

FRESNO, Calif. – The Tulare City School District settled a federal charge of national origin discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for $45,000 and other injunctive relief, the federal agency announced today.

According to the EEOC, the Tulare City School District failed to promote an employee to the position of principal because of his Hispanic national origin, regardless of his qualifications and ability to do the job.

Sunshine Raisin / National Raisin to Pay $2 Million in EEOC Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

FRESNO, Calif. – Sunshine Raisin Corp., doing business as National Raisin, will pay $2 million and furnish extensive injunctive relief to settle a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit, the federal agency announced today. The EEOC brought the lawsuit on behalf of a class of female agricultural workers, many of whom only speak Spanish.

County of Fresno to Pay $50,000 to Settle Race and Age Discrimination Charges

FRESNO, Calif. – The County of Fresno will pay $50,000 and will provide other injunctive relief to settle a federal charge of race and age discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

According to the EEOC, the County of Fresno’s Department of Human Resources did not promote a qualified older black employee for two promotional opportunities.
