UT-Battelle to Pay Over $2.8 Million to Settle EEOC COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate-Related Religious Discrimination Charges

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In a settlement with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), UT-Battelle, LLC (UT-Battelle) agreed to pay more than $2.8 million in monetary relief to a class of employees.

As a result of its investigation, the EEOC found reasonable cause to believe that UT-Battelle discriminated against a class of employees based on their sincerely held religious beliefs by denying them a religious accommodation involving the organization’s COVID-19 vaccine policy. Suisan Company, Ltd to Pay $90,000 to Settle EEOC Race Harassment Lawsuit

HONOLULU – Suisan Company, Limited (Suisan), a food distributor on the island of Hawaii, has agreed to pay $90,000 and provide other relief to resolve a race harassment and retaliation lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Oppor­tunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

Lexus of Cool Springs to Pay $60,000 to Settle EEOC Sex Discrimination Lawsuit

NASHVILLE – Performance of Brentwood, L.P., doing business as Lexus of Cool Springs, a car dealership in the greater Nashville area, agreed to pay $60,000 to resolve a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.
