Online College To Pay $260,000 To Settle EEOC Lawsuit Charging Sex Harassment By Supervisors

High-Tech Institute, Inc., doing business as Anthem College Online, will pay $260,000 as part of a settlement of a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today. In its suit in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona (Civil Action No.CV-09-2041-ROS), the EEOC charged that Anthem College subjected female employees to repeated sexual harassment by supervisors.

Dillard's to Pay $50,000 to Settle EEOC Age Discrimination Suit

Dillard's, Inc., a major department store chain, will pay $50,000 and furnish other relief to settle an age discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.  The EEOC had charged in its lawsuit that Dillard's discriminated against a manager when it discharged her because of her age, 61.

Lilly Ledbetter is Guest Speaker at Fair Pay Seminar

Prestige Home Centers, Inc., an Ocala-based retailer of manufactured homes, will pay $79,000 and furnish other relief to settle a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit filed by the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.  The EEOC had charged that Prestige, which operates 14 sales centers in north and central Florida, violated federal law when it subjected male employees to sexual harassment from a male supervisor, and then retaliated against one of them after he made complaints.
