Otros Recursos Sobre el Empleo de Personas con Discapacidad (En Inglés)

  • Job Accommodation Network:  JAN provides free one-on-one practical guidance and technical assistance on job accommodation solutions, Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related legislation, and self-employment and entrepreneurship options for people with disabilities.   JAN is a service of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).
  • Office of Disability Employment Policy.  ODEP’s mission is to promote policies and implement practices that will impact the employment of people with disabilities.  They provide employment supports on accessible technology, flexible work arrangements, and transportation, address mental health issues in the workplace, and provide resources on many other issues. ODEP is part of the Department of Labor.
  • Office of Federal Contract Compliance. OFCCP ensures that contractors and subcontractors who do business with the federal government comply with the legal requirement to take affirmative action and not discriminate on the basis of disability, as well as several other protected factors. OFCCP is part of the Department of Labor.
  • Wage and Hour Division. The Wage and Hour Division enforces the Family and Medical Leave Act or FMLA, which entitles eligible employees of covered employers to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons.  The Wage and Hour Division is part of the Department of Labor.
  • Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.  The Civil Rights Division has jurisdiction over ADA employment complaints that are made against state or local governments and are referred to them by the EEOC.  Some of the resolutions of those cases are available on their website.
  • Office of Personnel Management:  OPM provides resources for people with disabilities seeking federal employment.
