EEOC Announces New Senior Executives

Krobot, McIntire to Serve in New Positions

WASHINGTON – Chair Charlotte A. Burrows of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today two new Senior Executive Service appointments at the federal agency.

Elisa Krobot has been named as the EEOC’s chief financial officer.  Krobot previously served as EEOC’s budget director in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer for more than six years. She joined the EEOC from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, where she was budget officer. Prior to her work with the Department of Justice, she held a number of positions with the U.S. Department of State. Krobot also served a year on Capitol Hill as a legislative fellow; with the Department of Agriculture; and with the Peace Corps in Washington, D.C. and the Czech Republic. She also served ten years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. Krobot is a certified project management professional and has a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Pierrette McIntire has been named as the EEOC’s deputy chief information officer.  She joined the EEOC in 1988 as a database developer and has since served in a series of progressively senior positions within the EEOC’s Office of Information Technology, including serving as the EEOC’s chief information security officer and two stints as acting chief information officer. McIntire holds a bachelor of science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and numerous professional and technical certifications.

“Elisa Krobot and Pierrette McIntire are accomplished leaders, and I look forward to working with them in their new roles,” said Chair Burrows.

In addition to these new appointments, Chair Burrows announced that Carol Miaskoff has agreed to serve as the EEOC’s acting legal counsel. Miaskoff has served as associate legal counsel since 2017 and was previously the assistant legal counsel for the Title VII, ADEA and EPA Division in the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC). During her distinguished career at the EEOC, she also served as assistant legal counsel for coordination, representing the EEOC’s interests in discussions with other federal departments and agencies that regulate the workplace.

Burrows said, “Carol Miaskoff is a highly-respected member of the EEOC’s senior leadership team, and we are fortunate to have her at the helm of OLC.”

The EEOC advances opportunity in the workplace by enforcing federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination. More information is available at www.eeoc.gov.
