EEOC Files Subpoena Enforcement Action Against Mauser Packaging Solutions

CHICAGO – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today that it has filed an action in federal court to enforce a subpoena that it issued during its investigation into claims that Mauser Packaging Solutions engaged in illegal hiring practices, including limiting, segregating, or classifying applicants by race, national origin, or sex for various Mauser facilities, primarily in the Chicagoland area.

TKO Construction Services to Pay $300,000 to Settle EEOC Sex, Race and Age Discrimination Lawsuit

MINNEAPOLIS – TKO Construction Services, a staffing company that provides temporary employees for commercial, residential, restoration, heavy industrial and energy construction companies, will pay $300,000 and provide other equitable relief to settle a discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

DHL to Pay $8.7 Million in EEOC Race Discrimination Lawsuit

CHICAGO – Delivery company DHL will pay $8.7 million and be subject to the oversight of a court-appointed monitor to settle a class race discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

The EEOC charged in its suit that DHL assigned its Black employees to routes in neighborhoods with higher crime rates compared to those assigned to its white drivers, gave Black employees much heavier dock work

In Agreement with EEOC, Groupon to Establish Educational Fund for Black Students Pursuing STEM Careers

CHICAGO - The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today that following an investigation, the EEOC and Groupon, Inc. (Groupon) have entered into a voluntary agreement in which Groupon has agreed to contribute $350,000 toward establishing an educational fund dedicated to improving primary and secondary STEM education for Black students and awarding scholarships to Black students pursuing advanced degrees in STEM fields.

Pensec Settles EEOC Race Discrimination Claim

MILWAUKEE – Pensec, Inc., a Wisconsin corporation which operates nine McDonald’s fast food restaurants, will pay $31,137 and furnish other relief to resolve a race discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
