Trebor USA, Colt Truck Care and Wholesale Building Products to Pay Over $215,000 in EEOC Race and National Origin Harassment Lawsuit

MIAMI – Three Florida construction parts and auto mechanic companies have agreed to pay $215,699 and furnish other relief to settle a race and national origin discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Sues Asphalt Paving Systems for Racial Harassment

TAMPA, Fla. –– Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc. (APS), an asphalt paving company with offices in Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Tennessee, violated federal law by subjecting 12 Black employees who had filed charges with the EEOC, and a class of other Black employees, to race-based discrimination and harassment, the U.S. Equal Employment Oppor­tunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

EEOC Sues Alto Construction and J.A. Croson for Race Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation

TAMPA and ORLANDO, Fla. – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today announced that it has filed two separate race discrimination lawsuits – one against Alto Construction Co. Inc., a site development and asphalt paving construction company based in the Tampa area, and another against J.A. Croson, LLC, a plumbing and HVAC contracting company based in the Orlando area.
