Newport News-based shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Incorporated violated federal discrimination law when it refused to hire a pipefitter after discovering his hearing impairment, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit it filed today.
