Hearing of March 16, 2016 - Public Input into the Proposed Revisions to the EEO-1 Report

Mike Eastman joined the Equal Employment Advisory Council in 2012 and serves as the association's vice president for public policy. In this capacity, he directs the association's public policy advocacy efforts and helps the association's members anticipate and understand how changes in employment policy will impact their workplace compliance programs. Mike has more than 20 years of professional experience in labor and employment policy, including serving for ten years as Executive Director of Labor Policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he represented the business community in matters related to equal employment opportunity, civil rights, labor unions and collective bargaining, employment standards, and international labor policy matters.

Mike also previously served as a legislative counsel to former Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA).

In addition to his work with EEAC, Mike is a practicing attorney with the law firm NT Lakis, LLP, and serves as a senior consultant with Employment Advisory Services, Inc.

Mike received his B.A. in psychology from Colgate University and his law degree from George Mason University.
