The Honorable Cari M. Dominguez

Former Chair, EEOC, Senior Vice President and Chief Talent and Diversity Officer, Loma Linda University Health

Meeting of July 1, 2015 - EEOC at 50: Progress and Continuing Challenges in Eradicating Employment Discrimination

Cari M. Dominguez is a Corporate Director for Manpower, Inc., Triple-S Management, and the Calvert SAGE Fund. She is the Principal at Dominguez & Associates, a firm which provides consulting services on employee relations, diversity, and human resources issues. She is also currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Talent and Diversity Officer at Loma Linda University Health.

Her public service includes two Presidential appointments and unanimous Senate confirmations to senior executive governmental positions. As Chair of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, she led and directed the Nation's top agency on all matters pertaining to the coordination and administration of federal equal employment opportunity laws. She has also served in the U.S. Department of Labor in roles including Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment Standards and Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. In the latter capacity, she launched and led the Labor Department's Glass Ceiling Initiative, designed to remove invisible barriers from the workplace.

Ms. Dominguez has served on numerous nonprofit boards, and currently serves on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors, an organization dedicated to the education of board members in advancing good corporate governance. She has received numerous awards and national recognition for her public policymaking roles and global efforts to promote diversity. She holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from The American University's School of International Service, in Washington, D.C. Ms. Dominguez is also a Fellow of the Advanced Study Program in Public Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2003, she was conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Humanitarian Service by Loma Linda University.
