Social Media Comments Policy and Privacy Notice

Note: This comment policy applies to all official EEOC social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and our YouTube channel.

About

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. It is also illegal to discriminate against a person because the person complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit. EEOC has 53 offices across the nation.

General Information

EEOC manages its Facebook fan page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel as portals for information from EEOC. However, these social media accounts are not EEOC's official website. For information about EEOC, how to contact EEOC, or how to file a charge of discrimination with EEOC, please visit www.eeoc.gov.
