EEOC Sues Wal-Mart for Age and  Disability Discrimination

Wal-Mart Stores of Texas, LLC discriminated against a store manager by subjecting him to harassment, unequal treatment and discharge because of his age, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed in federal court today.   The EEOC's suit also alleges that Wal-Mart violated federal anti-discrimination law when it refused the manager's request for a reasonable accommodation for his disability.

EEOC Sues Nick's Restaurant for Disability Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Retaliation

PNS Investments, Inc. operating as Nick's Restaurant and Sports Bar, unlawfully discriminated against a server because of a disability, subjected her to sexual harassment and finally fired her in retaliation for complaining, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit it filed today.  Nick's is a sports bar and restaurant in the Houston area.

Britthaven, Inc. and its successor, Principle Long Term Care, Inc., operators of a nursing and rehabilitation center, will pay $50,000 and furnish other relief to settle a disability discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.  The EEOC had charged that the companies violated federal law by discriminating against an employee who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
