EEOC to Hold Remote Public Meeting on January 14

Commission Will Confer by Audio Only Due to COVID-19

The meeting scheduled for January 14, 2021 has been canceled.

WASHINGTON – Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will hold a remote, audio-only Commission meeting on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).

The following items will be considered at the open portion of the meeting:

  • Resolution Concerning the Commission’s Authority to Commence or Intervene in Litigation
  • Revised Procedures for Commission Approval of Amicus Curiae Participation

The following item will be considered at the closed portion of the meeting:

  • Recommendation to participate as amicus curiae

 

CLOSED SESSION:

The Legal Counsel has certified that, in his opinion, the portion of the Commission meeting scheduled for Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. ) concerning a recommendation to participate as amicus curiae may properly be closed under the 10th exemption to the Government in the Sunshine Act, 5 USC 552b(c)(10), and Commission regulation at 29 CFR 1612.4(j).
