EEOC Recovers $135,000 for Florida Employees Under Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

MIAMI – The Miami District of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) successfully conciliated two discrimination charges on behalf of pregnant women, the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Sues U.S. Steel for Pregnancy Discrimination and Retaliation

MINNEAPOLIS – U.S. Steel, a multinational steel and iron mining company, violated federal law when it failed to provide an employee with a reasonable accommodation for her pregnancy, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit announced today.

Federal Court Orders Vallarta Food Enterprises to Comply with EEOC Subpoenas

LOS ANGELES – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today that a federal court ordered Vallarta Food Enterprises, Inc., and related companies, a supermarket chain with approximately 80 locations in Central and Southern California, to fully comply with subpoenas the agency issued in September 2024 relating to Commissioner-initiated charges.
