Culver’s Restaurants Franchisee Settles Two EEOC Race, Sex, and Disability Harassment and Discrimination Cases for $261,000

MINNEAPOLIS – R & G Endeavors, Inc., a fast-food franchisee doing business as Culver’s Restaurants of Cottage Grove, will pay $261,000 and furnish other relief to settle two cases brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), one involving race, sex and sexual orientation-based harassment in the workplace and another involving disability harassment and pay discrimination, the federal agency announced today.

Federal Court Vacates Portions of EEOC Harassment Guidance

WASHINGTON -- On May 15, 2025, a Texas federal court held the Biden-EEOC’s expansion of the definition of “sex” in its Enforcement Guidance on Harassment in the Workplace was contrary to law (Texas, et al. v. EEOC, 2:24-CV-173 (N.D. Tex. May 15, 2025)). As a result, the court vacated portions of the guidance nationwide.

Insurance Auto Auctions to Pay $175,000 in EEOC Racial Harassment Lawsuit

FREMONT, Calif. — Vehicle auctioneer Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. will pay $175,000 and provide injunctive relief to resolve a racial harassment lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
