Indianapolis District Office, Philadelphia District Office

Tuesday, July 12th, 2022 at 1:00 PM to 4:20 PM Eastern

Description

This workshop is designed for legal, business, and HR professionals seeking to better understand LGBTQI+ equity in the workplace.  Learn why the protected basis of sex in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 includes sexual orientation and gender identity.  EEOC experts provide a history of the issue, legal updates, and current compliance requirements.  Speakers identify how to include equity discussions regarding LGBTQI+ issues in your workplace and address ways to achieve fair treatment and equal opportunity for your employees.  The program concludes with a panel discussion with representation from the EEOC, LGBTQI+ advocacy groups, and business groups and provides opportunities to submit your questions and get answers about these issues.
