Gary D. Friedman is a senior partner in Weil, Gotshal & Manges’ nationally recognized Employment Litigation Practice Group and has served as chair of the practice. He is a first-chair trial lawyer with more than 35 years of experience, a trusted advisor to global companies and their boards on their most sensitive employment matters, and a thought leader and expert consultant. In particular, Mr. Friedman specializes in representing employers in employment discrimination, equal pay and wage/hour class and collective actions, trade secrets and restrictive covenant litigations, internal investigations, and other complex employment and commercial litigation and arbitration matters in all forums around the country.

Mr. Friedman has written and lectured extensively on numerous employment-related topics, including artificial intelligence, equal pay, website accessibility, and trade secrets and restrictive covenant issues, and also has testified before legislators and government agencies as an expert on subjects such as workplace harassment and discrimination, non-disclosure agreements, background checks, and wage deductions.
