Frank A. Mora to Pay $43,000 to Settle Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Frank A. Mora, individually, and as the authorized corporate officer of Two Lac, Inc. d/b/a Oasis One Dry Cleaners, a McAllen, Texas dry cleaning and laundry service, will pay $43,000 and provide significant remedial relief to a former female employee who was subjected to a sexually hostile work environment, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today.

United Road Towing to Pay $380,000 to Resolve EEOC Disability Discrimination Suit

United Road Towing, Inc., a Mokena, Ill.-based towing company, will pay $380,000 to 13 claimants and provide other relief resolving a disability discrimination lawsuit, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced.  A federal district court judge in Chicago entered a consent decree ending the litigation on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

EEOC Appellate Briefs Now Online

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today that it has put its appellate and amicus briefs going back to 2000 on its external website.  These briefs from the EEOC's Appellate Services Division represent litigation in the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals in which the Commission was a party, or briefs filed as a 'friend of the court' (amicus curiae) in those courts, as well as in U.S. District Courts and state courts.
